The English and Russian texts are displayed in sync with the narrator’s speech. The current sentence is highlighted.
The lessons explain words and expressions that may be difficult for English learners to understand.
In addition to their meanings, you will also learn about the origins and history of these words and expressions.
You can choose the order in which you study the materials. No more than six texts are available for study at the same time.
To unlock new texts, you need to pass an exam.
Exam
The app includes two types of exams:
Easy
English speech recognition — select the sentences spoken by the narrator in the English text.
Hard
English listening comprehension — select the sentences spoken by the narrator in the Russian text.
You can pass the exam at either difficulty level to unlock the next texts.
Retaking the exam can only improve your score. If your new result is lower than your previous one, your score will remain unchanged.
